CUSTOM STRAIGHT RAZORS FOR SALE
All custom straight razors listed on this page are made from scratch from a blank of steel and are fitted with custom scales. This includes the shaping of the blade, master grinding, filing, hand sanding, heat treating, tempering and post heat treat grind and clean up. All razors are then fitted with custom scales and honed to shave ready with a single layer of electrical tape over the spine.
I pay very careful attention to fit and finish of these razors and what you are left with is a high quality, one of a kind custom razor.

8/8+ Barber's Notch in Forrest Green/Jade Ghost Layered G10 - $650

This custom razor measures in a bit over 8/8 wide and is made from 1084 steel. It features a barbers notch and filed groove from the tang into the blade. Jimps on the bottom of the tang and a beveled spine area in front of the tang provide a secure grip while shaving. The tang/spine have been finished to a mirror, while the blade was left with a satin finish. The scales are custom made from layered forrest green'jade ghost G10 and it has a red/black recon stone wedge. A comfortable grip while stropping and the razor was honed with 1 layer of electrical tape over the spine and is finished on an Ozuku Asagi japanese natural stone. Another one of a kind beautiful custom razor.
15/16 Smiling Edge Spanish Point in Silver Twill G10 - $650

This custom razor measures in right around 15/16 wide and features a slight smiling edge and 1/4 hollow grind. The razor is made from CruForgeV steel and has a 3 inch cutting edge. This steel has added vanadium and is similar to 1095 steel, but should have better edge longevity due to the vanadium content. It features large grippy jimps on the bottom of the tang and on top of the spine for a very secure grip. The point is a modified spanish point and has further decorative spine work towards the toe. The tang/spine have been finished to a mirror, while the blade was left with a satin mirror finish. The scales are custom made out of silver twill G10. The wedge is made from yellow/black recon stone and the razor sits in the pivot with adjustable torx screws. The wedge is filed on the top to allow the blade to close through it. The blade closes a hair off center towards the front scale, but is in no danger of hitting the scale. A comfortable grip while stropping and the razor was honed with 1 layer of electrical tape over the spine and is finished on an Ozuku Asagi Japanese natural stone.
31/32 Spanish Point Non-Folder Etched w/ Hamon line - $485

This custom razor measures in right around 31/32-8/8 wide and features a 1/4 hollow grind. The razor is made from 1095 steel and has a 2.8 inch cutting edge. It features large grippy jimps on the bottom of the tang and spaced file work on the top that adds to visual appeal and grip. The spanish point has an interrupted notch into the blade and the spine has a sort of random file work pattern across the top. The grip while shaving and stropping on this one is quite comfortable and ergonomic. The razor was etched with acid to darken the blade and bring out the hamon line formed during heat treat that you can see quite clearly. As such, the razor has a satin finish throughout. The razor was honed with 1 layer of electrical tape over the spine and is finished on 1.0 um lapping film. Comes with a red snap close presentation box.
13/16 White Steel "Birdwing" 1/4 Hollow - $535

This custom razor measures in right around 13/16 wide and features a 1/4 hollow grind. The razor is made from Hitachi White steel and has a 2.4 inch cutting edge. It features vine styled file work on the top and bottom of the tang. Has a large French point tip that you need to be careful with. The razor was etched with acid to bring out the layers in the white steel. As such, the razor has a satin finish throughout. The scales are made of beautiful blue colored maple burl with a wedge less design and 3-pin system to hold the razor in the scales. The razor was honed with 1 layer of electrical tape over the spine and is finished on an Ozuku Karasu Japanese natural. Due to the soft steel at the spine, you must always use tape to hone this. Comes with a nice redwood snap case for storage and presentation.
7/8 Non-Folder w/ Burl Covered Tang - $535
This custom razor measures in right around 7/8 wide and features a 1/4 hollow grind and smiling edge. The razor is made from O1 steel and has ~ 2.8 inch cutting edge. It features large grippy jimps on the bottom of the tang. The tang is covered with red box elder burl and tapers wider towards the end to aid in balance. Decorative mosaic pin as well. The grip while shaving and stropping on this one is quite comfortable and ergonomic. The razor finish is satin with a mirrored spine/tang. The razor was honed with 1 layer of electrical tape over the spine and is finished on a yellow/green Escher. Comes with a red snap close presentation box.
8/8 Damascus Spanish Point in Black Box Elder Burl - $685

This custom razor measures in right around 8/8 wide and features a 1/4 hollow grind and a slight smile to the toe end measuring closer to 15/16 at the spanish point. The razor is made from pattern welded (damascus) steel and has ~ 2.8 inch cutting edge. This razor is designed in a more traditional straight approach with normal jumps on the bottom of the tang. Straight spine with vine pattern file work. The razor was then etched in acid to bring out the layers of the steel. The scales are made of black stabilized box elder burl with a white G10 liner. The spacer is black G10. The razor was honed with 1 layer of electrical tape over the spine and is finished on a yellow/green Escher.
6/8+ Layered White Steel Kamisori w/ Bamboo Style Handle - $425
This custom right handed kamisori japanese style razor measures between 6/8-13/16 wide and has a 53mm cutting edge. I was testing out a slight smiling edge on this to see how it would work - and it seems to work just fine. Steel is layered Hitachi White Steel #2. Razor carries a more rustic finish and is acid etched to bring out the layers. Bamboo styled handle. Razor has an asymmetrical grind typical of Japanese kamisoris. Razor has been honed with a 7:1 ratio in the typical kamisori style. It was honed with a layer of electrical tape over the spine. Since the layered steel is soft at the top, future honings must follow this! It has been finished on an Ozuku Karasu. Comes with a red pen presentation box for storage and display.
13/16 Damascus Square Point in Red/Blue/White Box Elder Burl - $575

This custom razor measures in right around 13/16 wide and features a 1/8 to near wedge grind. The razor is made from pattern welded (damascus) steel and has ~ 2.8 inch cutting edge. This razor is designed in a more traditional straight approach with normal jumps on the bottom of the tang. Straight spine with vine pattern file work. The razor was then etched in acid to bring out the layers of the steel. The scales are made of red/white/blue box elder burl. The spacer is white G10. This razor originally was larger, but at near completion it was dropped, chipping and had to be reground narrower, thus the heavier grind. The price reflects this as I normally charge more for damascus razors. The razor was honed with 1 layer of electrical tape over the spine and is finished on a yellow/green Escher.
